 What is Lypossage?

Lypossage is a manual body contouring non-invasive clinically proven massage technique designed to reduce the presence and appearance of body fat by addressing the body’s lymphatic system, circulatory system, flush toxins from their system, muscle tone, skin tone, and actually improve their body shape. A 1999 study done with 100 women showed an average inch loss of six inches or more. Lypossage reduces the appearance of cellulite. Loose dimension and detox with measurable results. Lypossage is the most respected body contouring technique offered in the United States. A massage program that requires up to 18 sessions for completion.   https://www.lypossageusa.com

Lypossage is also an effective anti-aging treatment. When applied to the face and neck, Lypossage can give you the benefits of a facelift without surgery.

 The Lypossage Protocol

So, how exactly does lypossage work?

Lypossage is approached through a protocol developed by Wiltsie. The idea behind the protocol is to address the excessive amount of interstitial fluid and congestion that exists due to the formation of cellulite. It’s thought that this congestion occurs due to a lack of proper capillary flow, which results in both inadequate blood flow and lymphatic flow.

Lypossage treatments are available per-zone

•Zone 1: Zone 1: Navel to the hips, thighs, buttocks and abdomen. In this section, It will work on diminishing the appearance of cellulite, improve muscle and skin tone of the thighs, buttocks, hips and lower abdomen. Your posture and structure will improve and dimension loss is typical.

•Zone 2: Navel to the clavicle, including the arms This session targets the upper abdomen, back, neck and arms. It will address the client's posture and improve lymphatic flow while helping to tone problematic areas.

•Zone 3: Head, neck and face. I will work on address the head, face and neck. The client will see and feel the reduce appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin and improve skin tone and texture using natural face lifting techniques.

Given the similar outcomes expected for treatment directed at zones 1 and 2, it makes sense that the therapeutic modalities used for these zones would also be similar. Techniques used for these zones include myofascial manipulation, compression, skin rolling, and more. Meanwhile, zone 3 techniques tend to incorporate deep tissue massage and a focus on lymphatic drainage around the neck and throat.

Lypossage: Benefits and Limitations

According to Wiltsie’s study and the results observed at the University of Ghent in Belgium, it would seem that lypossage is capable of delivering on some of its claims. Both of these studies would appear to indicate that lypossage can improve skin and muscle tone, reduce cellulite, cut down on the number of inches in a particular area (thus making a part of the body appear visibly slimmer), and even improve overall health markers such as LDL cholesterol.

However, it’s important to note that these studies were conducted over long periods of time. These are not overnight results. Whereas liposuction and other forms of surgical intervention can produce dramatic and near instantaneous results in the body, lypossage requires a significant amount of time in order to be effective. It must also be combined with a good diet, adequate water intake, a healthy amount of exercise, and all of the other things we’d typically associated with taking care of one’s health and wellbeing.

In other words, lypossage is not an overnight means of addressing excessive weight or cellulite, and it isn’t designed to work miracles. This makes sense when you think about it, of course. After all, it takes a significant amount of time for the body to accumulate additional weight, develop cellulite, lose muscle tone, and so on. It therefore takes a similar amount of time to gain muscle mass, lose weight, lower cholesterol, and more. This is true whether you’re talking about changes to one’s diet, the incorporation of a new exercise regimen into one’s daily routine, or the use of a technique such as lypossage to improve one’s appearance.

In any case, proponents of lypossage generally recommend approaching the modality as part of a holistic course of treatment. In other words, lypossage works best when combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and so on. The better care your take of your body, the more effective lypossage is likely to be. Our circulatory system particularly our lymphatic system can become damaged as we age, making cellulite more apparent.

In addition I use The G5 Lypossage®  Massage Machine that uses vibrations to stimulate blood flow and lymphatic drainage, taking advantage of the body’s own processes for ridding the body of fat cells.

What is cellulite?

Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has fatty deposits, as a result, when subcutaneous fat pushes up, the sclerotic fibrous septa hold the skin down causing the appearance of cellulite resulting from an uneven distribution under the surface of the skin

Why do I have cellulite, lumps, and bulges?

The fatty tissue on your body acts as a toxic waste disposal site where substances that it cannot metabolize are dumped. This congested tissue can lead to poor circulation (you notice that cellulite prone areas are cool to the touch). Lymphatic flow can be restricted by tight undergarments and pantyhose. The cellulite layer is a physiological fatty layer that is supposed to be there. The extent to which it is visible is affected by several variables including, genetic predisposition, dietary habits, exercise habits, and hormones among others.

What is Lypossage and come from?

Lypossage is a no-invasive clinically proven massage treatment that use specified blend of massage techniques that break up cells, smoothes cellulite, assists in lymphatic drainage, deep tissue release and actually improve their body shape. That derive from physical therapy. It was created by Charles W. Wiltsie III, LMT, an internationally recognized massage therapy educator and practitioner. Mr. Wiltsie conducted a year long study of 100 female subjects that documented the effectiveness of the technique. The study was published in Massage and Bodywork Magazine in 1999. In the study, notable results included an average inch loss of 1 1/2 inches per thigh and a cumulative average inch loss of almost 7 inches. http://www.lypossageusa.com/about.html

How does Lypossage work and is it safe?

Lypossage helps clean the body of stagnant, stalled lymphatic fluid (Lymph edema) that can create the lumps and bulges we know as figure imbalance. The deeper Lypossage strokes break up adhesions under the skin that can contribute to the dimpled, uneven appearance of cellulite. Lypossage also tones the muscles, lifting and firming sagging tissue.

What parts of the body respond to Lypossage?

The zones are defined as follows:

Zone 1: is performed on the lower body, including the hips, thighs, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Expected outcomes for this part of the body include dimension loss, structural improvements (posture and carriage), diminished look of cellulite, improved muscle tone, improved skin tone, cleansing of the lymphatic system and improved circulation.

Zone 2: includes the upper abdomen, back, chest neck area and arms. This zone targets improving posture, dimension loss in the arms and abdomen, toning and firming of the bust area, and improved circulation and lymphatic flow in the upper body.

Zone 3: is performed on the head, neck, and face and can provide quite dramatic results in lifting and toning sagging tissues in the lower face and neck, diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and significantly improving skin tone and texture. This truly is a natural face lift.

Is there a machines that do this?

The G5 Cellutec Machine produces a  noninvasive therapy treatment for the skin, muscle tissue, lymph system and circulatory system.  Combined with the Spa Applicator Package the Cellutec unit can facilitate successful aesthetic treatments such as cellulite reduction, exfoliation, lymphatic drainage, body contouring, skin toning ad muscle relaxation.

Is Lypossage safe?

Lypossage is a non-invasive, natural health treatment that cleanses the body of toxins and retained fluids. Most clients find that Lypossage improves their energy and mental clarity. Although there are some contraindications for specific medical conditions, Lypossage can be safely experienced by most healthy individuals. It is much safer than surgical procedures such as liposuction. However, for those who opt for a more dramatic surgical result, Lypossage can be very beneficial before and after the liposuction procedure.

How can I make my treatments scheduled?

First session can take up to one hour. In the first session is  where your consultation takes place, incluiding all body measurements, health history and the client goal. Each Lypossage session lasts about 30 minutes and are performed in a series of 18 sessions, meeting 2-3 times a week over the course of 6-9 weeks. It is important to note that for most clients, it takes 8-10 sessions before the results of the initial treatments become noticeable. After that, progress can often be quite dramatic. Combining Lypossage with LypoSlim Body Wrap, further enhances your results.

What are some typical results and how will I know what mine are?

“While results vary, cumulative dimension loss over five key measuring points in Zone 1 averaged 6.75 inches in the original study. It is not uncommon to find cumulative inch loss of up to 13 or 14 inches. One client in the study lost almost 3 inches in her waist alone. One client of Ohio, while combining Zone 1 and Zone 2 had a cumulative inch loss of 21 inches in the 10 measuring points for those two zones. Most women find that they will drop one or two dress sizes without a significant reduction in their weight. Your Lypossage Practitioner will weigh, measure, and photograph you before you begin your program and at key intervals to track your progress”.

What should I do on my own to enhance the results of my treatment?

We recommend that you follow an at-home body care regime, including specialized Lypossage treatment products to stimulate circulation in cellulite-prone areas, exfoliate and hydrate the skin, as well as improve its tone and elasticity. The Lypossage Home Care Collection should be available to you through your Lypossage Practitioner.

Is there a special diet or exercise program?

Though the individuals in the Lypossage study were restricted from initiating any new diet or exercise program during the course of their treatments, we find that most clients become so inspired by their Lypossage results that they readily adopt lifestyle changes that help them make progress more rapidly. A diet rich in whole, organic foods and regular body exersices will contribute to a terrific outcome. Avoiding foods containing refined sugars, preservatives, hormones, caffeine, salt and carbs will keep your newly detoxified body in the best shape possible. Keep your body hydrated is also key so drink plenty water H20.

•Avoid eating 2 hours prior and 1 hour after your treatment.

•Refrain from aspirin, ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory products for 2 days prior and after your treatment.

•Use dry skin brushing daily to stimulate lymph movement (your therapist will show you how to do this).
